We arrived at the ranch in the afternoon and settled into our cabins.  In the evening, we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn.

Our hosts shared with us the history of their ranch and their horses.  After that, the students participated in educational programming, in front of a roaring fireplace in the ranch's lodge.

The first activity was for each participant to decide whether certain activities they would experience during the week were in or out of their comfort zone.

During the second activity, students were able to view different objects thru different lenses.  They then discussed which lenses showed the truth about the objects.

Some of the questions brought up by and discussed by our students were
*What is truth?
*Is there only one truth?
*What did the founding fathers mean by "self-evident" truth?
*How do we use someone else's lens?
